Bu derste, İngilizce'de pasif cümle yapısını öğreneceğiz. Pasif ses, cümlede öznenin eylemi gerçekleştiren değil, eylemin özne üzerinde yapıldığı durumları ifade eder. Bu yapı, özellikle eylemin kim tarafından yapıldığının önemli olmadığı durumlarda kullanılır.

Temel kavramlar

Pasif ses, cümlede öznenin eylemi gerçekleştiren değil, eylemin özne üzerinde yapıldığı durumları ifade eder. Pasif cümleler genellikle "to be" fiili ve geçmiş participle (V3) kullanılarak oluşturulur.

Örneğin:

• Active: The chef cooks the meal. (Şef yemeği pişirir.)
• Passive: The meal is cooked by the chef. (Yemek şef tarafından pişirilir.)

Ayrıntılı anlatım

Pasif cümle yapısının temel formu şu şekildedir:

Subject + to be + past participle + (by agent)

Burada "subject" özne, "to be" yardımcı fiil, "past participle" ise fiilin geçmiş zaman hali ve "by agent" eylemi gerçekleştiren kişiyi belirtir.

Pasif cümleler, farklı zamanlarda kullanılabilir. Örneğin:

• Present Simple: The book is read by the students. (Kitap öğrenciler tarafından okunur.)
• Past Simple: The book was read by the students. (Kitap öğrenciler tarafından okundu.)
• Future Simple: The book will be read by the students. (Kitap öğrenciler tarafından okunacak.)

Sık yapılan hatalar

Pasif cümle yaparken sık yapılan hatalardan bazıları şunlardır:

• Yanlış zaman kullanımı: Pasif cümlede "to be" fiilinin zamanının doğru seçilmesi önemlidir.
• Geçmiş participle formunun yanlış kullanımı: Fiilin doğru geçmiş hali kullanılmalıdır.
• By agent kısmının atlanması: Eğer eylemi gerçekleştiren kişi önemliyse, "by" ile belirtilmelidir.
